Nancy Shepherd, 70, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Friday, December 19, 2025.
She was born May 25, 1955 to Richard V. and Edith F. (Jordan) Cook in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Nancy was a proud graduate of Lafayette High School in 1973. Her career in nursing spanned over five decades, during which she selflessly cared for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and later as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Nancy married Stephen G. Shepherd on October 11, 1975.
Nancy found tremendous joy in being present for her grandchildren's sporting events. Additionally, she enjoyed snow skiing.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Stephen; children, Matthew Shepherd and Jennifer Brown; grandchildren, Averi Shepherd, Maddie Adams, and Noah Adams; sister, Margaret Augustine; and numerous cousins.
Farewell Services and Public Livestream 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 23, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery, Agency, Missouri. The family will gather with friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the National MS Society.
