=====

A couple of major northwest Missouri roads have been closed by transportation officials, one due to a wreck, the other due to a building collapse.

The Missouri Department of Transportation reports a portion of Route 13 in Caldwell County closed this morning after a wreck. MoDOT says Route 13 closed between Southeast Dodgers Road and Southeast Longhorn Road, between Polo and Kingston. MoDOT says its crews are helping the Missouri State Highway Patrol at the scene. That portion of Route 13 is expected to be closed for hours.

A building collapse in Mound City has shut down U.S. Route 59 in Holt County, between Route 118 and Route E. MoDOT expects that roadway to be closed for hours as well.

Motorists are being diverted to detours on both highways.
