Maryville teen hospitalized after 2-car crash

NODAWAY COUNTY—A Missouri teen was injured in an accident just after 11:30a.m. Saturday in Nodaway County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1999 Mercury Sable driven by Dakota L. Wray, 18, Hopkins, was southbound on Fairway Road five miles north of Maryville.

The driver failed to stop at a stop sign at U.S. 71 and traveled into the path of an eastbound 2017 Nisan Sentra driven by Fredrick A. Creamer, 36, Maryville. 

The Mercury struck the right rear bumper of the Nissan.

Nodaway County EMS transported a 15-year-old girl from Maryville in the Mercury to Mosaic in Maryville. The drivers were not injured. The 15-year-old girl was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
