St. Joseph reports 76 new COVID-19 cases

St. Joseph health officials report 76 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the Buchanan County total since the pandemic began to 3-Thousand, 525.

Mosaic Life Care reported 55 COVID-19 patients at its St. Joseph hospital Tuesday morning with two being treated in Maryville.

Mosaic has tested 39,321 area residents with 3,321 testing positive. Mosaic is awaiting results from 366 tests.

Andrew County reports five new cases, bringing its total to 565 cases.

Doniphan County, Kansas reports a total of 182 cases.

Missouri health officials say the state confirmed 1,405 new COVID-19 cases Monday, a drop from record numbers reported during the weekend. Missouri's total confirmed COVID-19 cases now stands at 158,101.

On Saturday, Missouri reported a record 2,357 new cases, and another 1,768 cases on Sunday. Deaths since the COVID-19 pandemic rose to 2,590 Monday. 

A coronavirus outbreak has killed 10 residents in a nursing home in a northwest Kansas county. The Norton County, Kansas Health Department reports that all 62 residents and an unspecified number of employees at the Andbe Home in Norton have tested positive for the coronavirus. The nursing home's outbreak came after more than 100 cases were reported at a state prison located in Norton.

A recent surge of coronavirus cases in Nebraska has led to record numbers of hospitalizations, and the state’s rate of new infections now ranks fifth-highest nationally. Nebraska reports a record 343 people are now hospitalized with COVID-19. Nebraska has recorded 548 deaths linked to the virus.
