Michael L. McDonell, 74, of St. Joseph, MO passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023 at his home. He was born August 22, 1948 in St. Joseph, MO, son of Gloria and Jack McDonell.
He graduated from Lafayette High School. Mike owned Mikes Painting and Handyman Service. He loved riding his Harley-Davidson, painting, creating artwork and tinkering with crafts.
Michael was preceded in death by father, Jack McDonell, mother, Gloria Minor and his wife, Lynn McDonell.
Survivors include children, Rhonda (Jason) Harris of Tonganoxie, KS and Bill (Traci) McDonell, of St. Joseph, step-children, Jennifer Cammack of Wichita, KS and Al Cammack of St. Joseph, siblings, Vickie McDonell of St. Joseph, MO, Sherry (David) Sharp of Savannah, MO, Mark McDonell of Troy, KS and Chris (Cindy) McDonell of St. Joseph, MO, 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. McDonell has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at the Rupp Funeral Home.
