Juell K. Chance, 89, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at a local health care facility. She was born June 13, 1934 in Souix City, IA, daughter of Ruby "Mabel" (Hays) and John Hammond. She attended Lafayette High School and in 1987 she graduated from Missouri Western State College with a BS in Psychology. Juell spent many years working in Outside Sales. Her hobbies included crocheting, knitting, doing artwork and crafting. She took great joy in knitting hats for all of her grandchildren.
Juell was preceded in death by her parents Mabel and Arthur Young, 1st husband, Donald Sollars, 2nd husband, Frederick Chance and son, Theodore Chance. Survivors include children, Donald (Sherry) Chance of St. Joseph, Cynthia (James) Archer of Little Elm, TX, Michael (Linda) Sollars of The Woodlands, TX, Geoffrey (Priscilla) Sollars of St. Joseph, Eric (Christine) Sollars of St. Joseph, Jennifer Lovelady of St. Joseph, Victor Chance of St. Joseph, Brian (Joyce) Chance of St. Joseph, Christopher (Anna) Chance of St. Joseph and Katrina (Richard) Watkins of St. Joseph, 26 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 20, 2024 at the Rupp Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday. Interment will take place at Ashland Cemetery.
