ATCHISON COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 1:30p.m. Sunday in Atchison County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a Ford Edge driven by a 47-year-old Maryville woman was westbound on MO 46 at Route Z six miles west of Burlington Junction. The SUV crested a hill, began to skid and struck the passenger side of the passenger side of a towed unit of a 2014 Dodge Ram driven by a 41-year-old Burlington Junction man who was attempting to turn east onto MO 46 from southbound Route Z.
Atchison-Holt EMS transported the 47-year-old driver to Mosaic in Maryville. The pickup driver was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
