Cheryl Lea Richardson 50, of St. Joseph, MO, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023 at her home. She was born March 1, 1973 in St. Joseph, MO, daughter of the late Mary Ellen and Donald Kerns Sr. She graduated from Mid Buchanan High School, and worked at First Student as a Bus Driver for 24 years. She enjoyed the Kansas City Chiefs, going to auctions, and the South Side Fall Festival, and she was a member of the Life Church. Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include siblings: Marilyn (Roger) Fones, Nancy Hargrave (Mike Johnson), Lorri Kerns, twin sister, Carol Harris, Donny R. Kerns (Annie Silvey), Gerald (Natisha) Kerns, Michael Kerns (Carol Auxier), Jeffrey Kerns, Randy Kerns, James (Leesa) Kerns, and her best friend, Cheryln (John) Bennett, as well as numerous, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 PM on Friday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services 11:00 am, Saturday, December 16, 2023 at the Life Church, 1500 Brookside, St. Joseph, MO 64506.
