A former Missouri Western State University baseball player, who also spent time with the St. Joseph Mustangs, will take charge of the Central High School baseball program.
Brady Holden will be the next head coach of Central Indians baseball, after his hiring was approved by the St. Joseph School District Board of Education on Monday. Holden, who served as an assistant for Central this past season, was going to be the program's assistant coach under former Lafayette head coach Matt Jansen, before Jansen earlier this month resigned and took a position on a Kansas City-area high school staff.
Holden, an alum of Mid-Buchanan High School, played college baseball at Longview, State Fair Community College before joining MoWest in 2020. The new Central head coach played three seasons for the Griffons, not losing a year of eligibility due to playing during the COVID-19 shortened season. Holden also played multiple summers with the St. Joseph Mustangs.
