CLINTON COUNTY —A first responder was injured in an accident while responding to an emergency call just after 6p.m. Wednesday in Clinton County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2020 Dodge Durango driven by Jacob I. Hutton, 25, Lathrop, and a 2023 Ford Interceptor police SUV driven by Jace T. Hickman, 23, Plattsburg, were southbound on MO 33 four miles south of Lathrop responding to an emergency call.
The Ford slowed to make a left turn and the Dodge swerved to avoid a collision. The Dodge struck the Ford in the driver's side. After impact both vehicle traveled off the road and the Dodge struck a fence.
Holt Fire and EMS transported Hickman to Liberty Hospital. Hutton was not injured. Both were properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
