Edgar Clayton Tunnell, Union Star, MO was born June 20, 1949, to Max and Opal (Gibson) Tunnell and passed away on June 3, 2026, at the Benedictine Living Community in St. Joseph, MO.
Clayton was a lifelong farmer of the Empire Prairie community. He participated in tractor pulls and tractor cruises. He had a love for International tractors and had a collection at one time of several. He was passionate about his pets, beloved Buffy the cat, Skeeter his dog, and Tank his constant companion. Skeeter will join Clayton in his final resting place.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Edgar and Mayme Tunnell, Robert and Emma Gibson; twin brother, Clifford Edward; sister, Mary Kathleen; and nephew, Bradley Tunnell.
Clayton is survived by his brother, Robert (Georgia) Tunnell; sister, Deanna (Butch) Allen; nephews and nieces, Brian Weaver, Billie Joe (Paula) Weaver, Cathy (Randy) Major, Michele (John) Cronin, and Kristie (Mark) Grego; John (Jennifer)) Muff who were longtime sidekicks, along with numerous great nephews and nieces.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 6 at Roberson Funeral Home, King City, MO. Burial will follow in King City Cemetery, King City, MO. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the King City FFA and/or the King City 4-H in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O.
