Kathy Richardson, 77, of Weston, MO passed away, August 18, 2025.
She was born on November 2, 1947 to Paul E. and Rose Marie (Williams) Lawson in Kansas City, MO. Kathy grew up in North Kansas City, after her mother’s passing she lived with her grandparents on Barry Rd in Kansas City. She graduated from Platte County High School in 1965.
On January 2, 1987 she was united in marriage to Norman Richardson in Platte City, MO. After their marriage they lived in Weston where they made their home.
Kathy was a hard worker, and she worked at various factories and on the farm. She actively supported her daughters in FFA, 4-H and their sports.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Robert Smith, sister Pam Trusty; an infant daughter; daughter, Michelle Elaine Hass; and grandson Joe Edward Skaggs.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Norman; daughters, Ginger Skaggs and husband Jes, Dearborn, MO and Nicole Richardson Clements and husband Andrew; grandchildren, Emma Skaggs, Zachary Mihalevich, and Dawson Heckelbeck; sister, Patty Stubbs and husband Ralph; her beloved dog, Smokey Joe Richardson; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation: 2:00-4:00 p.m. Saturday, August 23rd at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home in Gower with Family Memories following at 4:00 p.m.
