A six-year-old St. Joseph boy suffered minor injuries when a
car ran over his bike at a south end intersection, then fled the scene.

The crash occurred around seven o’clock last night at
the intersection of King Hill Avenue and West Hyde Park Avenue. The car hit the
bicycle as the boy attempted to cross the street.

St. Joseph police say a 27-year-old St. Joseph man was
arrested shortly afterward. He faces the charges of driving while intoxicated
and leaving the scene of an accident.
