Cardinals manage just two hits as Albies powers Braves to 5-1 win

The St. Louis Cardinals were held to just two hits as Ozzie Albies homered and drove in two runs as the Atlanta Braves evened u the series with a 5-1 victory at Truist Park.

Albies' solo home run in the third inning snapped a 1-1 tie.  Albies also had an RBI double in the first inning that knocked in Drake Baldwin from first base to tie up the game after the Cardinals opened the scoring in the top half with an RBI single from Jordan Walker, scoring Iván Herrera.  Atlanta tacked on their final three runs in the eighth with RBI's from Michael Harris II, Mauricio Dubón and Ausitn Riley, bringing home Baldwin, Albies, and Dubón respectively.

Michael McGreevy took the loss, falling to 3-7 on the season, despite giving up just three hits and two runs over six innings while walking one and striking out three.  At the plate, Walker was 1-for-3 with an RBI while Herrera was 1-for-4 with a double for the two hits of the game by the Redbirds.  The only other Cardinal to reach base was JJ Wetherholt who was 0-for-3 with a walk.

St. Louis and Atlanta wrap up their series tomorrow.  Dustin May (5-6, 4.30 ERA, 77K's) takes the mound for the Cardinals while the Braves have yet to announce a starter.  First pitch is at 6:15pm, coverage begins at 6:05 on KY 102 (102.5 FM).
