Gregory Marque Denton, 33, of Atchison, Kansas, passed away at his residence on April 28, 2026.
Gregory was born on August 15, 1992, in Garnett, Kansas, the son of Mark and Olivia (Oliver) Denton. He graduated from Atchison High School in 2010. He was known for his easygoing nature and his love of the outdoors and sports. He especially enjoyed fishing, as well as spending time watching and playing baseball and basketball. Time spent with family and friends was important to him, and he will be remembered for the moments he shared with those closest to him.
He is survived by his parents, Mark and Olivia Denton, Atchison, his daughter, Ava Denton, Atchison, KS, his brother, Patrick Denton Jr., Atchison, KS, his sister, Alexandria Denton, Atchison, KS, his maternal grandparents John and Barb Oliver, Atchison, KS.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Marcus Denton.
A private family celebration will be held starting at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 8, 2026, at his parents' house. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Atchison YMCA Fishing Clinic and may be sent in care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home.
