Bret Poe was born November 12, 1979 to Steve and Debbie Poe and passed away unexpectedly on November 23, 2023, Thanksgiving Day.
He was a 1998 graduate of Lafayette High School and played baseball at Butler Community College, where he earned his Associate of Arts degree. He spent his last 20 years working at Lincare.
Better known as “Little” by most, he was a big man with a great smile and huge heart. He was our big teddy bear.
Bret loved hanging out with his friends, playing pool, golfing and taking vacations, especially on his Slingshot.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Pearl Poe, and his maternal grandmother, Patty Powell.
He is survived by his parents, Steve Poe and Debbie Poe; brother, Jason; niece, Kinley; the love of his life, Tracy Sharp; Bob and Sarah Hines; and extended “framily.”
Private Graveside Services & Inurnment, Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
