Starting Monday, the City of St. Joseph will be making changes to the traffic signals at 22nd Street and Duncan to ease congestion at the intersection.
Signals at the intersection will flash all red from Monday, April 13th through Thursday, April 16th to allow for the transition. Once complete, Duncan traffic traveling east and west will receive green lights at the same time. The changes follow a traffic study conducted at the intersection, prompted by low traffic volumes traveling east on Duncan outside school drop-off and pick-up times.
The change will include a left-turn yield on green signals for traffic on Duncan that is traveling eastbound and westbound. There will be no changes for traffic on 22nd Street traveling north and south.
