DEKALB COUNTY—A Kansas girl was injured in an accident just after 12:30p.m. Saturday in DeKalb County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Ford Escape driven by Lori J. Nigus, 57, Hiawatha, was eastbound on U.S. 36 at Stewartsville.
The SUV left the road, struck an embankment, a road sign, traveled across the crossover and into the median.
DeKalb County EMS transported a 7-year-old female passenger from Hiawatha to Mosaic Life Care. The driver was not injured. Both were properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
