James “Jim” Lee Molt, 72, of Atchison, Kansas died at his home on April 4, 2024.
Graveside services will be 10:30AM, Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Alderson Cemetery in Atchison, Kansas. Services will be officiated by Rev. Jeff Cochran. James was born December 20, 1951, the son of Leslie M. and Mildred (Petesch) Molt, in Atchison, Kansas. He married Jerri Sidwell on June 30, 1972, and she preceded him in death on July 8, 2012. He worked as a lineman for Evergy, and in his spare time he would fly radio-controlled planes, ride motorcycles, and was a member and leader of the Alcoholic Anonymous group.
He is survived by his son, Mike (Shannon) Molt, grandchildren Samuel, Claire, Kate Molt, sister, Sharon Blakley, sister-in-law, Patty Molt, brother-in-law, Mike Wagner. He is preceded by his parents, wife, brother, Leslie M. Molt, Jr., sister, Shirlee Wagner, brother-in-law, David Blakley.
