Jerry W. Ezzell, 91, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024.
He was born January 29, 1933 in St. Joseph to Orville and Alta (Westbrook) Ezzell. He was a graduate of Lafayette High School, where he was a member of ROTC.
He worked at Mead Paper Company for over 20 years, St. Joseph Structural Steel for 20 years, and was an officer for the St. Joseph Police Department.
Jerry loved his family and coaching his kids. He also coached for 29 years in women’s softball.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley Ann; and two brothers, Orville Ezzell, Jr. and Phillip Ezzell.
Survivors include his children, Vicki Myers (Mike), Danny Ezzell (Carla), Terry Ezzell (Vickie), and Christopher Dean Ezzell; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Beverly Nagel (John).
