King City man injured after semi slides, strikes embankment

GENTRY COUNTY — A Missouri man was injured in an accident just after 11a.m. Saturday in Gentry County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1987 Ford L9000 Conventional semi pulling a flatbed trailer  and driven by Larry D. Clark, 70, King City, was eastbound on Route Z one half mile east of King City. 

The driver came over the top of a hill and braked to avoid a car in front of the semi. The semi slid sideways, traveled off the south side of the road and struck an embankment. 

A private vehicle transported Clark to Mosaic Life Care. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
