The St. Joseph Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast is back in person this year after it was online the previous year.

Mayor Bill McMurray says tomorrow morning the breakfast will be held at the Civic Arena.

“The doors open at 6:00, breakfast for those who buy the ticket at 6:30 and the opening ceremony at 6:45 and we ought to be finished I imagine around 8 o'clock,” McMurray tells host Barry Birr on the KFEQ Hotline.

The guest speaker for this year’s event is Bill Federer. Federer is a well-known speaker, best-selling author, and president of Amerisearch Inc.

McMurray says they were unable to book Federer for last year’s event.

“We booked him for this year and I'm sure glad we did. It sounds like a really inspirational program,” says McMurray. “I love history and tying together history and religion I think will be just really illuminating for all of us and inspiring.”

Tickets for the breakfast have sold out. Those who purchased a breakfast ticket will sit on the main floor of the Arena socially distanced from one another. This allows space for 300 people to participate in the breakfast. People who do not want breakfast can sit in the balcony of the Arena.
