ANDREW COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 11a.m. Sunday in Andrew County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2019 Chevy Trax driven by Rhoda M. Embrey, 88, Union Star, was northbound on U.S. 169 at Route V two miles west of Helena.
The Chevy attempted to pass a northbound 2018 Hyundai Elantra driven by Kaysie R. Richter, 30, Helena. The Hyundai was slowing to turn left onto Main Street.
The Chevy struck the left side of the Hyundai and both vehicle traveled off the road.
EMS transported Embery to Mosaic. Richter was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
