Charlotte Lynn (Swartz) Rhodes passed away peacefully on November 6th, 2023. She was born December 28th, 1955 in Kansas City, KS, daughter to Charlene Swartz and the late Johnny Swartz. Charlotte moved to St. Joseph, MO in the 5th grade. Charlotte graduated from Benton High School in 1974 and married Denny Rhodes on July 26th, 1975. She worked as a Pharmacy Technician for over 30 years at K-Mart, Cub Foods and Heartland Hospital. She enjoyed going to the casino, loved helping others, couldn’t tell a person no, but nothing brought her more joy than being a mother, and a grandmother. Her family was the world to her, but now she is reunited with her best friend, her late husband Denny Rhodes.
Charlotte is preceded in death by: her husband Denny, father Johnny Swartz; mother and father-in-law’s Joye & Bob Rhodes, and sister-in-law Randi Rhodes. Survivors include sons Danny (Emily Peters) of Southington CT, son Dusty Rhodes of Kansas City, MO; mother Charlene Swartz of St. Joseph, MO; grandchildren Lucas Rhodes, Benny & Julia Swift; sisters Sue (Chuck Debenito), Terry Swartz; brother Dave Swartz; brother-in-law Fred Banker; sisters in law Jana Cook, Darla (Jim Hunt); and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Friday, November 17, 2023 with memorials services and public livestream beginning at 7:00pm Friday, at the Rupp Funeral Home. Rev.
