Mosaic board releases statement in wake of leadership shakeup

A statement has been released by Mosaic Life Care in wake of a shakeup of Mosaic leadership.

The Mosaic Life Care Board of Trustees announced on Friday Chief Executive Officer Dr. Mark Laney has taken early retirement and Chief Operating Officer Michael Pulido is also leaving Mosaic.

Today, the Board of Trustees announced that Mosaic is financially very secure and that an interim chief executive officer will be chosen soon to guide Mosaic until a new CEO is chosen.

The statement announces Mosaic’s new regional Cancer Center will open its doors very soon, “Our patients and caregivers deserve world-class cancer care, and this destination center will make that a reality. The future is bright because we have amazing caregivers and very strong financial resources to continue to provide local, excellent quality care to our communities as an independent health care system.”

The board also thanked Mosaic’s 4,000 workers, who the board states “…work tirelessly to keep our communities safe every single day. They are the superheroes that live among us.”

“Mosaic’s partnerships with clinical specialists and resources continues to bring a tremendous collaboration for the benefit of our patients. We are thrilled Mosaic’s new regional Cancer Center will open its doors very soon. Our patients and caregivers deserve world-class cancer care, and this destination center will make that a reality,” the statement read.
