Triumph Foods is expanding in St. Joseph.

The Missouri Department of Economic Development
reports Triumph will add 88 jobs to its pork processing plant in south St. Joseph.

Triumph opened its 800-Thousand-square-foot
plant in 2006. The facility processes 1-point-5(B)Billion pounds of pork
products annually.

Triumph executives say the pork processor works
to better the St. Joseph area, donating more than 100-Thousand pounds of pork
products to local food banks this year.

Triumph used the Missouri Works program to
finance the expansion. The program provides access to capital for expansion
through tax withholdings or tax credits.

Triumph Foods employs approximately 2,400 workers.
