CLINTON COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident just before 4p.m. Friday in Clinton County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Chevy Suburban driven by Jason M. Pressley, 45, Kansas City, was southbound Interstate 35 fleeing from emergency vehicles.
The driver exited into the northbound Holt Rest area and struck the towed unit of a 1998 Peterbilt semi driven by Toby L. Polley, 55, Ridgeway.
After impact the SUV traveled down an embankment and struck several trees. EMS transported Pressley and a passenger Kerstyn K, Rust, 24, Kansas City, to North Kansas City Hospital. Polley was not injured. The occupants of the SUV were not wearing seat belts, according to the MSHP.
