BUCHANAN COUNTY —Four people were injured in an accident just after 9:30p.m. Friday in Buchanan County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Chrysler Town & Country driven by Jamie L. Arb, 34, Vienna, was southbound on U.S. 59 at MO 116 one mile west of Rushville.
The Chrysler rear-ended a 2006 Lexus 400H driven by Luke V. Spencer, 21, Kansas City, Mo., who was stopped in traffic. The impact pushed the Lexus into a southbound 2010 Chrysler Town & Country driven by Thomas E. Smith, 57, Atchison, Kansas. After impact, the Lexus traveled off the road and down an embankment.
Buchanan County EMS transported Arb, Spencer, a passenger in the 2010 Chrysler Chelsey Mestagh, 30, Atchison, and a passenger in the Lexus Kourtney C. Koc, 18, Prairie Village, Kansas, to Mosaic in St. Joseph. All were properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
