Darlene "June" Kisker (Grisham) 1936 - 2025

Darlene “June” Grisham Kasprovich Kisker died on Friday, April 11, 2025. June was born February 5, 1936 to David and Anna Floreine (Anders) Grisham in Parkville, MO.

June was a fraternal twin born at home with her sister Marlene “Jean” Grisham. The twins were so small they were placed in a dresser drawer and the room kept at a constant temperature of 95ᴼ. They survived to become strong women. June attended two rural schools, Hampton and Hazelwood. After 8th grade graduation, she transferred to West Platte High School and graduated in the Class of 1954. After graduation she attended a six-month course at the Kansas City Business College. In 1955 she was employed by Trans World Airlines (TWA) where she worked her way up through the ranks and retired as Manager of In-Flight Operations in 1988.While working at TWA she met Al Kasprovich and they were married on September 26, 1965. June was a proud stepmother to his daughter Phyllis, and aunt to many Kasprovich and Gac nieces and nephews. Al passed away of cancer in 1982.While attending a multi-year class reunion, she was reacquainted with Edward Kisker.

They began dating and were married on August 23, 1986. June was again a proud aunt to many nieces and nephews. Ed unexpectedly passed away in 2001.June was a lifelong resident of Platte County Missouri. She had homes in the country, in Platte City, and finally settled in Weston where she resided these last 20 years. She attended Holy Trinity Catholic Church where she was in the Women’s Guild and volunteered for many “jobs” in the church. Her favorite job was to welcome new members by taking a basket to their home which she personally put together. June was a member of the Platte City Study Club for many years, as well as the TWA Clipped Wings Organization. She was interested in city politics and was appointed to the Weston Board of Zoning Adjustment. June also served on the Board of the Weston Senior Housing. She loved playing bridge and was involved in several bridge groups.

June loved spending time with 3 generations of her nieces & nephews attending a multitude of birthday dinners, concerts, sports games and ceremonies.

She is survived by her twin sister Jean Robertson, nephew David Robertson and wife Robin; Niece Kim Kirby and husband David; nephew Philip Robertson and wife Stephanie. Her “greats” are David Troy Robertson, Andrea Martinkovic, Coy Kirby, Blake Robertson, and Ava Robertson. Her great-greats are Johnny Joe Jackson, Noah Martinkovic, and Trishelle Robertson. She had many other beloved family members including step-daughter Phyllis Arhberg and her family in Germany, and many nieces and nephews by marriage. June will be missed tremendously by hundreds of friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Services will be held at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 407 Cherry St., Weston, MO on Monday, April 21, 2025. 10 am Visitation and 11 am Funeral Mass. A private burial will follow.
