Woman, 3 teens from St. Joe injured after car strikes trees

BUCHANAN COUNTY—Four people were injured in an accident just before 6:30p.m. Thursday in Buchanan County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2013 Kia Forte driven by Isabella M. Fuller, 20, St. Joseph, was eastbound on SE Mason Road one quarter mile southeast of St. Joseph.

The car went airborne at a hill crest, struck the ground, began to slide, traveled off the south side of the road, struck trees and returned partially to the road.

BUCHANAN COUNTY EMS transported Fuller, a 17-year-old and 15-year-old male passengers from St. Joseph to Mosaic Life Care. A private vehicle transported another 15-year-old male passenger from St. Joseph to Mosaic. He was the only person wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
