DEKALB COUNTY —A man from St. Joe avoided serious injury in an accident that occurred just after 4p.m. Thursday in DeKalb County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2014 Buick LaCrosse driven by Garrett M. Griffin, 31, St. Joseph, was westbound on U.S. 36 at the MO 31 north Junction.
The driver swerved to avoid another vehicle. The car traveled off the north side of the road and struck a highway sign. Griffin refused treatment at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP. The car was towed from the scene.
