An investigation is underway into the death of a Daviess County jail inmate.
Daviess County was holding the inmate for Livingston County, which announced the death.
Livingston County Sheriff Steve Cox reports the inmate died Saturday. The cause of death isn’t known at this time, but the inmate did have health issues which required medication. The inmate’s name has not been released.
The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office and the Daviess County Coroner are investigating the death. Video from the jail and other evidence has been preserved by the jail administration.
