HOLT COUNTY —A Missouri teen was injured in an accident just before 1p.m. Tuesday in Holt County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2024 Kawasaki Ninja driven by Austin D. St Ama, 18, St. Joseph, was westbound on U.S. 159 at Goose Drive three miles south of Forest City.
The driver attempted to avoid a deer that entered the roadway. The motorcycle began to skid and the driver lost control. The motorcycle traveled off the road and overturned down an embankment.
A. private vehicle transported St. Ama to Mosaic Life Care. He was wearing a helmet, according to the MSHP.
