Daniel “Danny” A. Gach, 74, St. Jospeh, Missouri, passed away Friday, December 15, 2023.
He was born May 15, 1949, to Victor and Juanita (Atha) Gach in St. Joseph, Missouri.
He was married to Twila Ann Purtek on July 31, 1971.
Danny loved to travel, and he was able to see over half of the states in the US through his travel with his family. He was also able to travel to several places around the world including Austria, Australia, New Zealand and Cancun. During his time with the Navy, he was stationed in Vietnam and was also able to visit Thailand. Danny loved to play golf and was able to play several courses around the United States through his travels, including TPC Scottsdale in Arizona and a couple of amazing courses in Hawaii with his son Eric.
Danny also loved spending lots of time outdoors, working with equipment and planting various trees around the yard as he had a bit of a green thumb. While outdoors and on equipment he was also able to create several subdivisions in the St Joseph area including Oakmont, Oakmont Hills, Tuscany Lake and Millstone. Danny’s true passion was serving the Lord and helping those in need. Danny and his wife Twila started The Crossing Outreach Ministry over 11 years ago and have been able to help those in need through various services offered there, including the food pantry, re-entry house and the thrift store.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Rosie Heartling.
Survivors include his wife, Twila; son, Eric Gach; siblings, John, David, and Ben Gach, Clairerita Jennings, and Steve Gach.
Service 4:00 P.M. Thursday, The Community Outreach Re-Entry Building at 611 S 7th St. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service.
