Ralph Boydston 1941 - 2024

Ralph Boydston, 83, of Dearborn, MO passed away, December 27, 2024.

He was born on December 27, 1941 to Horace Franklin and Mary Valjean (Jacks) Boydston in New Market, MO. Ralph grew up in Camden Point and graduated from North Platte High School in 1959. He then enrolled at the University of Missouri in the College of Agriculture where he majored in Animal Science and graduated in 1963. After college, he was drafted into the army where he served two years as a Veterinary Technician.After the Army, Ralph farmed for most of his life and then worked for Thrifty Car Rental and eventually retired from Sara Lee Bakery Group.

On August 19, 1978 he was united in marriage to Prudence Weed at Hoover Christian Church. After their marriage they lived in the Camden Point area where they made their home. He had twin daughters born in Smithville, MO on May 17th, 1982 and named them Karen Beth and Heather Anne. Above all he was a devoted family man who cherished his role as husband, father, and papa. His Grandchildren specifically held a special place in his heart, he took immense pride in watching them grow and thrive.

Ralph was an avid Chiefs and lifelong Royals fan, he would watch every single game and you would never catch him without some sort of royals or chiefs apparel on especially his hats. He would spend every Sunday watching football games and if the chiefs were playing it was just a million times better. Ralph was a true history buff , he traveled all throughout the USA to explore all the battlefields and historical sites. In recent years he also spent years gathering all of his family’s ancestry and shared it with all who were interested. The year following his 80th birthday he even wrote his own autobiography through Storyworth that his daughters will treasure forever. He loved traveling to Texas to see his daughter Karen and her family in Texas. Ralph also took many summer trips with Heather and her family. Going to the Zoo with his grandkids was one of his favorite activities.

His wife, Prudence, preceded him in death on March 19, 2012.Ralph was also preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughters, Karen (Jamie) Bierschbach and Heather (William) Fisher; grandchildren, Shelby Jane Bierschbach, Hadley Kate Bierschbach, Max Bierschbach, Travis (Brooke) Fisher, Ashton Fisher, Camden Fisher, McKenna Fisher, and Liam Fisher; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bill and Barbara Hoyt, Albert and Emily Weed, and Stephen Weed; several cousins, nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Ralph will be missed by so many, he had the purest of hearts and he never knew a stranger, his smile and contagious laugh will never be forgotten

Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 31st at the Camden Point Christian Church, Camden Point, MO.

Visitation: 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, December 30th at the Camden Point Christian Church.

Burial: Camden Point Cemetery.
