John Bravo 73, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024 in St. Joseph. He was born February 22, 1951 in St. Joseph, son of Manuela and John Bravo.
He graduated from Christian Brothers High School, class of 1969, and Fellowship Baptist College in Peoria, IL, class of 1985. Following Seminary, he worked as a Baptist Minister for several years in Streeter, IL. He married Karen Caton on June 13, 1969.
John worked as a Guard at WRDCC, retiring as a Lieutenant. He was a member of the former Bible Baptist Temple. He loved fishing and shooting guns. John was also a former CCW Instructor. He enjoyed working on cars, spending time with his grandchildren, and tending to his fruit trees.
John was preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Karen Bravo.
Survivors include: children, Stacey (Bruce) Green, John "Boog" (Samantha) Bravo II, and David Bravo, sisters, Patricia Hutchinson and Phyllis Smith, all of St. Joseph, brother, Joe (Peggy) Bravo of Fort Calhoun, NE, grandchildren, Rachael (Kody) Pfleiderer, Myranda and Alexander Hellerich, Anika, Carter, and Josie Bravo, Morgan Lollar, and great-grandchildren, Rownen Dunham and Boston Pfleiderer.
Mr. Bravo has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
