Planned roadwork for Northwest Missouri, April 20-26

The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work the Missouri Department of Transportation has planned in the Northwest Missouri region for the week of April 13-19.

There may be moving operations, such as mowing, brush cutting and litter removal, throughout the region in addition to the work mentioned below. Inclement weather may cause schedule changes in some of the planned work. Check the MoDOT Traveler Information Map, or download the app for updated information.

Andrew County

Interstate 29 – Bridge flushing both directions from the 51.4 mile marker to the 62.4 mile marker, April 20-23.

Atchison County

U.S. Route 136 – Resurfacing and drainage improvement project through July 2026. The road will be narrowed to one lane, and a 10-foot width restriction will be in place.

Routes 46, 111, V, B, C – Various bridge rehabilitation projects through May 2026. The bridges may be narrowed to one lane with flaggers.

Buchanan County

Interstate 29 – Southbound lanes narrowed to one lane overnight with short-term rolling closures while crews set new bridge girders for the Gene Field Road Bridge, April 15. 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Motorists should expect delays.

Gene Field Road Bridge – CLOSED for a bridge replacement project through July 2026.

U.S. Route 59/Route 752/Route U – Intersection improvement project through spring 2027.

U.S. Route 169 – CLOSED for an intersection improvement project at Southeast Riverside Terrace through mid-July 2026.

Route 169 – Intersection improvement project at Route FF through mid-August 2026. A 10-foot width restriction will be in place. Access to 49th Street will be closed through June 2026.

Caldwell County

Route 13 – Resurfacing parking areas through Hamilton. Vehicles need to be moved by 6 a.m. on Monday, April 20.

Route 13 –Resurfacing and ADA improvements project from Samuel Street to School Street in Hamilton through mid-May. Route 13 will be narrowed to one lane with flaggers.

Clinton County

I-35 – Pavement rehabilitation in the southbound lanes from Exit 40 (Lathrop) to Exit 48 (south Cameron) through September 2026. Both north and southbound traffic will be one lane, each direction, in the northbound lanes.

Route J – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Route C to S.W. Middle Road, April 22-24.

Daviess County

Route 13 – Resurfacing and ADA improvements project from Berry Street to Van Buren Street in Gallatin through mid-May. Route 13 will be narrowed to one lane with flaggers.

Route K – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Route P to Hope Avenue, April 20, 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Harrison County

U.S. Route 69 – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Route 46 to 130th Street, April 22, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Holt County

Routes B, 111, 59, C, N – Various bridge rehabilitation projects through May 2026. The bridges may be narrowed to one lane with flaggers.

Nodaway County

U.S. Route 71 – Resurfacing project from the Iowa state line to U.S. Route 136 near Burlington Junction through August 2026. The road will be narrowed to one lane, and a 10-foot width restriction will be in place.

Route E – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from 210th Street to 220th Street, April 20, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route E – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from 200th Street to 190th Street, April 21, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route E – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from 170th Street to 160th Street, April 23, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route 113 – Various bridge rehabilitation projects through May 2026. The bridges may be narrowed to one lane with flaggers.

Worth County

Route 46 – CLOSED at Marlowe Branch Creek for a bridge replacement project through May 2026.

U.S. Route 169 – Approach repairs at the Middle Fork Grand River Bridge, April 20, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The bridge will be narrowed to one lane with flaggers.
