Dale Patrick Knox, 79, of Emma, MO, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the Kansas City V.A. Medical Center. Dale was born February 1, 1944, in St. Joseph, MO to Hobert Marshall and Nannie Florence (West) Knox. He was raised in Weston, MO; and was a 1962 graduate of Weston High School, where he enjoyed playing football. Dale worked for the Hall’s Orchard of Weston, which was his first job, before joining the military. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. Dale worked as a machinist for Atchison Casting/Rockwell for 28 years; and later for Walmart after his retirement in 2007. Dale was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and camping trips to Smithville Lake. He was also very creative and enjoyed drawing. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Lewis Dean and Daniel Earl Knox; and an infant sister Karan Lee Knox, who passed in 1950. Dale is survived by his brothers Doug and David Knox; his sister Dalice Buckler; his daughters Kimberly Edwards, Shauna Novotny, and Mandy Fultz; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 19, 2024, at Vaughn Funeral Home in Weston; followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral service. Interment with military honors will follow at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Weston.
