The Buchanan County Clerk has reported the second round of data for the 2026 April General Election voter turnout, jumping from the earlier morning number.
As of 3pm, 5,731 voters around St. Joseph and Buchanan County have made it to the polls according to Buchanan County Clerk Mary Baack Garvey. The number marks 10.4% of registered Buchanan County voters.
The midday checkup marks a jump from the early morning 11am report, which was just 4.8% of registered Buchanan County voters, or 2,614 voters. The polling location with the highest number of voter turnout at the 3pm check in was Central Christian Church with 1,019 votes.
Baack-Garver predicted there would be a 23% voter turnout for this election. The polls close at 7 p.m.
