Gerald E. “Jerry” Theis, 75, formerly of Troy, Kansas passed away Thursday, July 3, 2025, in Wathena, Kansas.
Jerry was born on February 28, 1950, to Nick Sr. and Millie (Christian) Theis. Jerry worked as a auto mechanic and bought and sold cars in Troy, Kansas. He moved to Sunrise Beach, Missouri and managed Interstate Batteries and retired from Ellis Batteries. Jerry loved his wife, friends, family, the lake and building model cars.
Jerry married Dianna Shellenberger on June 23, 2022, in St. Joseph, Missouri. She survives of the home.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Peggy Stanton.
Additional survivors, daughters, Shelbe King (Danny), and Miranda Coleman (Chase). Step-children, Angela Stover (Blair), Timothy Shellenberger (Jessica) and Jeremy Shellenberger. Grandchildren, Millie Mayfield (Lane), Kohlbe King (Holly), Oaklynn and Kingsley Coleman. Step-grandchildren, Amorie and Crewe Stover, Hunter, Trent and Alyssa Shellenberger, Solomon, Kylee and Blaine Shellenberger. Great-grandchild, Jarrett Mayfield. Brother, Nick Theis Jr. (Mary Lou), and nieces and nephews.
Jerry’s wishes were to be cremated with no services.
