One new death, five new COVID hospitalizations in Buchanan County Tuesday

The St. Joseph Health Department reports one additional COVID-19 related death Tuesday. The victim was a man in his 50s.

This brings the Buchanan County death toll to 129. The county also saw 75 new cases since Monday, bringing the pandemic total to 8,235.

Mosaic Life Care says they're now treating 63 COVID-19 patients - an increase of five since Monday. All five of the new patients are in St. Joseph, leaving the St. Joe location with 58 patients. Maryville has two, while Albany has three.

Statewide, Missouri reports 2,479 new cases of COVID Tuesday (386,095 total) and 117 new deaths, bringing the state's death toll to 5,433.

Kansas reported 6,373 new cases Tuesday (216,062 total) and 41 new deaths, bringing the pandemic total to 2,548.

Andrew County reported 1,599 total cases and 16 total deaths as of late Monday. Nodaway County reports 2,315 cases and 19 total deaths. Doniphan County, Kansas has recorded 697 cases.
