Health officials report eight more COVID-related deaths in Buchanan County since Friday

The St. Joseph Health Department reports eight more COVID-19 related deaths in Buchanan County since Friday.

The victims were two women in their 90s, two women and two men in their 80s, one man in his 70s and one woman in her 60s. The Buchanan County death toll now stands at 143.

There have also been 162 new cases in the county since Friday, bringing the pandemic total to 9,026. The county's positivity rate has also shot up to 19.48% over the last seven days after being about 13% the week prior.

Andrew County reports 1,818 total cases and 16 deaths Monday.

Mosaic Life Care reports 61 coronavirus patients in its system Monday  with 58 patients in St. Joseph and three in Maryville. That number is down 12 since Friday.

Doniphan County, Kansas has seen 18 new cases since Friday for a total of 810. Atchison County, Kansas has reported 1,332 cases.

Statewide, Kansas saw an increase of 5,180 COVID cases since Friday. There have also been 107 new deaths, bringing Kansas’s death toll to 3,255.

Missouri reports nearly 425,000 total cases (424,986) nearly 6,000 deaths (5,951) statewide as of Monday.
