Joyce Davidson, 89, of Edgerton, MO passed away, September 20, 2025.

She was born on November 14, 1935 to George Washington and Mary Elizabeth (Bray) Johnson in Bradleyville, MO where she grew up and graduated from high school.

On April 9, 1955 she was united in marriage to Denzil Davidson. After their marriage they lived in Kansas City and in 1965 they moved to rural Edgerton where they farmed and made their home. Her husband, Denzil, preceded her in death on April 2, 2016.

Joyce was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church and a former member of Little Platte Baptist Church. Denzil and Joyce enjoyed traveling and visited all 50 states and 14 countries.

Joyce owned and operated Busy Bee Crafts in Smithville and later sold Singer sewing machines. She was a talented seamstress and loved making things for her family. Joyce enjoyed knitting, piecing quilts, and many other crafts. She was an avid vegetable and flower gardener, and most of all she loved her family.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Wilma Edley, Audrey Howard, and Beatrice Martin; brothers, Johnny Johnson and Alva Johnson; son-in-law, Ron Roe, and her grandson, David Auxier.

Joyce is survived by her children, Dean (Myra) Davidson, Cheryl Roe, and Melissa (Doug) Auxier; grandchildren, Jacob (Dalia) Davidson, Jessica (John) Mosiman, Joanna (Bekour) Masse, Josiah Davidson, Sean Davidson, Shomer Davidson, Zac (Abbey) Davidson, Mindy (Mike) Juhnke, Matthew Roe, Michelle (Andy) Morley, Michael (Bailey) Roe, Mark Roe, Jennifer (Jeff) Walton, and Jill (Landon) Hale; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 27th at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Edgerton, MO with visitation one hour prior. Burial: Ridgely Cemetery. Donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
