A third man has been charged in the drive-by shooting death of two-year-old Raelynn Craig.
Buchanan County prosecutors have charged 20-year-old Te’Avion Waunya Hawkins of Platte City with second-degree murder in the death, accusing Hawkins of driving the car from which shots were fired into the car in which Raelynn was a passenger.
Hawkins had been arrested earlier in August and federal authorities disclosed at that time he was being questioned in the death of Raelynn.
Two others are charged in the death: 21-year-old Caimon Ramone Stillman and 20-year-old Macain Kimbrough-Ballard, both of St. Joseph, are accused of shooting into the car.
Witnesses reported a car with Texas license plates shot at another car with three inside at 20th and Messanie Streets outside the Frog Hop on the afternoon of August 9th. Raelynn was struck by gunfire and died later at the hospital. Two others were wounded in the shooting.
All are being held without bond in the Buchanan County jail.
