Dallas "Junior" Kretzer 1960 - 2025

Dallas ‘’Junior’’ Kretzer, 65, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, February 17, 2025.

He was born on February 12, 1960 to Dallas Sr. and Verlea (Widener) Kretzer in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Dallas married Diane King on February 14.

A proud graduate of Lafayette High School, Junior distinguished himself early on as a dedicated student, consistently achieving straight A's and setting a foundation of excellence that would follow him throughout his life.

Junior dedicated many years of hard work to Compton's Trash Service, where his commitment and work ethic were well known and respected. Junior was a devout member of New Home Baptist Church, where he found spiritual fulfillment and a sense of community.

Junior was known for his unwavering support of the Kansas City Chiefs, often found wearing the team's colors and cheering loudly on game days. His service in the ROTC reflected his strong sense of duty and passion for mentorship. Those who knew Junior will also remember his delight in cooking.

Above all, Junior's love for his dachshunds was legendary. He found unparalleled joy in the companionship of his beloved pets.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Pam Stewart, Mary Vaughn, and Sherry Coon.

His gentle nature and quiet spirit will be truly missed by his wife, Diane; siblings, Kristy Smith (Bob), Rita Wardlow (Lindsey), Billie Willenborg, Barb Kretzer, Connie Whetzell, Michael Kretzer (Sherri), Curtis Kretzer (Tammy), a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who cherished every moment spent with him.
