Sheriff's K9 caught teens with gun stolen from Mo. and drugs

BROWN COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating two Kansas teens on multiple allegations after a traffic stop.

Just before 10:30p.m. March 29, a Brown County Deputy initiated a traffic stop on US 73 Highway near 230 for speeding, according to Sheriff John Merchant.

K-9 Carla was deployed and indicated on the vehicle.  Upon conclusion of the interdiction, several firearms were located in the vehicle, one of which was found to be stolen out of Missouri.    Michael Dibble 18 Leavenworth, was arrested on requested charges of Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Stolen Property, Criminal Possession of a Weapon by Felon and Criminal Carrying of Weapons.

A  17-year-old in the vehicle identified as Dewayne Johnson 17 was wanted in Leavenworth County on a juvenile Warrant for Battery.  He was transported by a deputy to Leavenworth County detention center.
