Rita Renae (Flaagan) Davis, 66, left this world to join God and Family on Sunday, December 10, 2023. A visitation will be held at 6:00pm Friday, December 15, 2023 with a Celebration of Life following at 7:00pm at the Rollins Funeral Home, Platte City, MO. Rita was born September 12, 1957 to Arvid C. Flaagan and Rosadell M. Andstatt in McVille, North Dakota. Rita grew up on the family Farm and Attended School in the Tolna, ND school system. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters; Diane (Mulvey) Flaagan, Arvidell Flaagan, Peggy Jean Flaagan and one brother Kurt Flaagan. She is survived by her Husband Larry Davis of the home, two sons, Brent Davis, Raymore, MO and Douglas Davis of Kansas City, four sisters, Pam Comstock, Vancouver, WA, Rosie Krein Bismark, ND, Peggy Johnson, Pekin, ND, Jule Carman, Vancouver, WA, three brothers, Chester Flaagan, Tolna, ND, Steven Flaagan, Anchorage, AL, and Keythe Flaagan Cavalier, ND. Six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Rita Spent many years working in the county courthouse both in the prosecutor’s office and as a clerk for the circuit court. She also spent several years working for the Missouri Gaming Commission at Sam’s town and the Argosy Casino. Rita suffered the effects of MS for over 25 years and bravely fought through the disease, determined to make the most of each day by reaching out to family and friends, always with a smile and positive attitude that would melt any heart. There are no words to describe how much she will be missed. She is in God’s hands now and will be loved for eternity. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations go to Platte City Shop with a cop or Salvation Army- KC Gift Processing Center.
