Mo. man hospitalized after pickup strikes large hole, overturns

MERCER COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 5:30p.m. Thursday in Mercer County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Ford F150 driven by John C. Moots, 55, Kirksville, was southbound on U.S. 65 two miles south of Mercer.

The pickup traveled off the road, struck a large hole and overturned.

Mercer EMS transported Moots to Wright Memorial Hospital.  Grundy County EMS then transferred him to St. Luke's on the Plaza. The MSHP did not report seat belt usage.
