A man shot and wounded very early this morning in St. Joseph has been pronounced dead and identified.
A suspect is in custody.
St. Joseph police report officers responded to a shooting in the 2400 block of North 3rd Street at two o’clock this morning. Officers found 60-year-old Mark Applegarth suffering from a single gunshot wound.
Emergency crews rushed the victim to Mosaic Life Care where he was pronounced dead. An arrest has been made.
The suspect is described as a 62-year-old female. She has not been identified.
