Clifford L. “Cliff” McFadden Jr. 1940 - 2024

Clifford L. “Cliff” McFadden Jr., 84, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024, at his home. 

He was born on February 5, 1940, in Kansas City, Missouri to Clifford Lee Sr. and Flavis Maxine (Taylor) McFadden.

On January 28, 1960, Cliff married Donna J. Brace. She preceded him in death on October 8, 2023. Cliff was very proud of their 63 years of marriage together and has now been reunited with the love of his life in Heaven.

He and Donna spent their lives serving in ministry to their community. He was a longtime member of Word of Life Church. Cliff also was a member of Green Valley Baptist Church.

Cliff cherished the time he spent working alongside his sons and grandsons in their family business. Cliff loved being able to pass down his knowledge and expertise to the next generations. Outside of work, the family bonded over their shared love of sports. 

Their faith also played a significant role in their lives where they attended church services together as a family. Cliff’s legacy is a testament to the power of compassion and empathy.

Those who were fortunate enough to know him will never forget the impact he left on their hearts.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother whose legacy will be cherished by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his beloved wife, Donna.

Survivors include his daughter, Tammy (Mark) Scott of Country Club, Mo.; sons, Kip (Terry) McFadden of St. Joseph, and Michael (Amber) McFadden of Country Club; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Tyler (Jackie) Scott, Stella and Simon, Aaron (Shelbi) Scott, Heath and Maxwell, Lee (Laura) McFadden, Chase and Liam, Blake (Alexandra) McFadden, Quinn, Eli McFadden and Micah McFadden; brothers, James (Linda) McFadden and Rodman (Shirley) Smith McFadden; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Farewell Services and Public Livestream 10:30 A.M. Friday, Word of Life Church. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
